Winning the 1999 ITE Class Championship at the Waterford Hills race course in Clarkston, MI  in a 475 horsepower Ford Mustang Cobra capped his racing career.

Nowak’s interest in cars started at the tender age of eight, while growing up in the small town of Alpena, Michigan just after World War II.

Later, working as an information systems salesman over five states, Nowak had to drive forty thousand miles per year, pretty much using up a car every two years.

He bought his share of Buicks, Oldsmobiles and Fords for the work related travel while getting into sports car racing, professional rallying and exotic cars like the Aston Martin.
